My experience: Microdermabrasion or Hydrodermabrasion, which is better?

Hi my name is Mia and I have in recent weeks a lot with Microdermabrasion and Hydrodermabrasion dealt with and researched.
Since I have sometimes very blemished and also sensitive skin, the topic interested me so much that I had to try both for myself.
Here I want to give you my experience.

First of all, what are the two beauty treatments at all:

Microdermabrasion and hydrodermabrasion can improve the following conditions:

  • Uneven skin tone or texture
  • Acne scars
  • Dull luster
  • Melasma
  • Minor, fine lines
  • Clogged pores
  • Blackheads

What Is Microdermabrasion?

With microdermabrasion, a handheld wand is used that sprays microcrystals on the face to exfoliate the skin. The abrasive crystals slough off dull, surface-level skin cells, revealing the fresher, younger skin underneath.

The procedure is minimally-invasive. Outside of some redness and sensitivity to sunlight, there are virtually no side effects other than smoother, refreshed skin.

What Is Hydrodermabrasion?

Hydrodermabrasion is a new procedure that also exfoliates skin. It differs from microdermabrasion because it employs saline solution and oxygen rather than microcrystals. With hydrodermabrasion, the device sprays a supersonic jet of water droplets, which peels away the top layer of the skin.

The result is similar to a microdermabrasion treatment, but it also has the added benefit of improving circulation and hydrating the skin. This procedure also boosts collagen production, which has an anti-aging effect on the skin.

Which Procedure Is Better?

I have tried both of them and after spending a total of $300 I have come to the following conclusion.

The answer depends on the unique skin concerns of each individual. People with sensitive skin may be better suited for the gentler hydrodermabrasion procedure. Also, certain skin conditions like acne and blotchiness can be worsened by microdermabrasion, in which case hydrodermabrasion would be preferred. However, microdermabrasion is still a safe and pain-free treatment for people who desire smoother, fresher-looking skin.

So for me and my skin, hydrodermabrasion is clearly the better option, but spending $150 every time for a treatment?

I thought there must be alternatives and after a lot of research and searching I found the NaturalHydroSkin Pro - Skin Cleaner Hydrodermabrasion Device.

For 50$ I thought I can not go wrong, I ordered it and after 7 days it was already at home.

My Conclusion:

It is very comfortable for the skin and it takes me about 15 minutes to treat my whole face, after that everything is done and the result is just like in the beauty salon.
The advantage is, my skin is much nicer now, because I can do the treatment now 2 times a week and not only once a month because more I could not afford at 150$.

I hope I could give you a little insight and my weeks of research and testing could also help who other than me.

Take care and all the best
